Mars Bar Bites


Woweeee! I don't think that any recipe could be as simple and as tasty as this one. These Mars Bar Bites are gluten free, dairy free, nut free, refined sugar free and vegan. They are the perfect after dinner treat and will really satisfy your sweet tooth. They are chewy, gooey and delicious in all the right ways. The star of this recipe is of course the medjool dates, which come with many health benefits including dietary fibre, potassium, manganese, copper, B vitamins, vitamin A, magnesium and calcium. People who regularly consume dates may find relief from poor digestion, high blood pressure, hormonal issues, sluggish metabolism, constipation, wound healing, growth and development and poor nutrient absorption.Ingredients:

  • 20-25 Medjool Dates

  • 1tbsp Maple Syrup

  • 2tbsp Cacao Powder

  • 50g Cacao Butter (Melted)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • Pinch of Salt


Creating the Magic:Remove the pit from the dates whilst trying to preserve their shape as much as possible and sit aside to make the chocolate.Melt the cacao butter and add in the cacao powder, rice malt syrup and salt and mix together until well combined. Dip the medjool dates into the chocolate, cover their surface well and place onto a lined baking tray. Once all of the dates have been dipped, plate the tray into the fridge for 30 minutes to set.Tip: If you have any chocolate left over, dip your favourite fruit in and add to the tray or just enjoy straight away.You may also like to sprinkle your Mars Bar Bites with some crushed nuts if tolerated.I hope you give this one a go and if you do, please leave a comment.
